Winter is snowflakes and hot chocolate around here. The real deal. And my children love it!
To celebrate winter last month, we used Download N Go's Winter Wonders unit study.
We painted with ice cubes.
We created ice sculptures.
We took daily nature walks and found lots of animal tracks (including squirrel, cat, dog, bird, deer, wild turkey, and possum). We also went to a local nature center and observed birds for a few hours.
We ate snowflake tortillas.
We constructed a notebook.
We learned so much AND had so much FUN!
Wild Turkey?? Really!?! I had no idea we had those around here!
Awesome activities! LOVE your notebook! (I might set up our lapbooks that way next year.) Fun Stuff!
