The Third Day of Christmas

December 4, 2010 by Ami 2 Comments

Oh, I am cheating today! Let’s just call this a retro-post and be thankful for technology that let’s us mess with dates.

For December 3rd, we went to Minnetrista’s Enchanted Luminaria Walk where the whole place comes alive with decorations and delights. All the outside paths are patterned with candles and white lights. The inside halls of the homes are decked for Christmas.

The largest house had 27 trees–each with a different theme!

We sampled spiced cider, peppermint bark, and fresh kettle corn. The boys made train ornaments and felt gingerbread men.

Someone even got to meet the gingerbread man!

We also met some wood carvers.

We loved all the live music! There was also a jazz band playing outside and a wonderful harpist in another house.

I think it’s safe to say that the Enchanted Luminaria Walk is now tradition. This is our fourth year going, and we hope to return next year. If you live in my area, check it out. It’s free and full of many memory making opportunities.

    Ami,
I keep forgetting you live kind of nearby! I saw your post in my reader and couldn’t think of who I knew who blogged and would be at Minnetrista! We were there too! We went on Friday night. The weather was perfect–not too cold at all. This is one of our holiday traditions too.

We were there Friday night too! 🙂 Crazy! I think I would recognize you if I saw you. I’m going to have to keep an eye out for you when I’m over there in your area. 🙂 🙂
