Simon’s Strawberry Smoothie

January 20, 2011 by Ami 2 Comments

My littlest chef has been cooking since he was a tot. He loves to be in the kitchen, and he was super-duper excited when it came time for his first LIVE cooking class last week. (I think he’s doing the happy dance in this picture!)

We made strawberry smoothies with Mixing Bowl Academy. The class was fun, easy, and short. It was perfect for my 4 year old.

When he finished, he was so pleased to present his older brother with a treat to eat. They both drank their smoothies at lightning speed. This will definitely be a treat that we ask Simon to make again (and again!).

Simon is signed up for the February classes: Awesome Applesauce, Berry Parfait, Colorful Quinoa, and Zucchini Muffins. He’s also looking forward to the March classes: Peanut Butter Breakfast Shake, Green Eggs & Ham, Simple Snack Mix, and Ice Cream ‘n Apples. April looks like a lot of fun as well: Oatmeal Balls, Coconut Meringue Macaroons, Homemade Soft Pretzels, and Grilled Bulleyes. Each month is $20 for 4 classes. I hope you will join us!

The strawberry smoothie class was a special class offered for reviewers. If you are interested in the Lil’ Chefs classes, please take some time to cruise the other reviews and read what other moms and kids thought of this class.

Thanks Ami! We enjoyed this class 🙂 Re: Kefir–we make our own. I have an extra kefir grain if you want it! Let me know and I’ll drop it off.
