BOB Books: Sight Words Printables Book 1

January 18, 2013 by Ami 50 Comments

BOB Books are our favorite beginning readers; the story lines are fun, the books are sturdy, and these tales are sized perfectly for little hands!

When I discovered how much my boys loved BOB Books, I decided to create some printable activity pages. These BOB Books printables help reinforce the phonics and reading concepts they were learning with the books.

You can find my entire collection of BOB Books Printables here.

Learn to Read with BOB Books

If you are looking for an easy set of books for your beginning reader, try BOB Books Sight Words: Kindergarten. You will need this set of books in order to use the printables provided in this post.

This post includes a download for one of the little books found in this set, Book 1: Mat Hid.

In addition to easy to read phonics words, this reader also includes these sight words:

  • ran

  • to

BOB Book Printables for Sight Words Kindergarten: Book 1

What printable activities are included in the download?  The download includes these BOB Book worksheets for your student:

  • Find Your Way to Ted Maze (sight word focus: ran)
  • Circle the Word (sight word focus: to)
  • Word Find (sight word focus: saw)
  • Progress Chart
This chart can be used with the entire set of BOB Books Sight Words: Kindergarten

When your student masters this book, Mat Hid, grab the progress chart. Color in the turtle with the number one on it.
