Get Out . . .

November 10, 2010 by Ami 7 Comments

. . . and get the stink off!

I once asked a veteran homeschool mom what she'd do differently if she had it to do over again. She didn't hesitate in her reply, "More field trips."

My favorite. For real. Just call me Miss Frizzle because I love field trips. If I had a Magic School Bus, it would always be out on an excursion!

Sometimes the learning at home can become stale. It requires a bit of extra effort to get out the door, but there is something to be said for . . .

picking apples . . .

and pumpkins . . .

petting a shark . . .

riding a train . . .

Indiana Transportation Museum (pumpkin train) October 2010

a cave expedition . . .

visiting the birthplace of Abe Lincoln . . .

Abraham Lincoln Birth Place National Historic Site September 2010

. . . and the Lincoln Museum

viewing a birds of prey demonstration . . .

. . . and dancing in a Native American pow-wow.

Beautiful Pictures. We love field trips at our house. Sometimes I need to schedule a day at home we go out so often.
