My daughter chose Pippi Longstocking and Dr. Doolittle for her list, too! These are great books. I have three girls, so it’s interesting to see what boys are reading. =0)

(The boys ages matter of course:) but here are some our boys have enjoyed: Mr. Popper’s Penguins (5-up:), Sugar Creek Gang Books (7-up) Indian in the Cupboard (series) (8-up), The Mushroom Planet books (8-up), Homer Price (8-up), The Great Brain (8-up~~warning~~they do dangerous things in this one!:), 21 Balloons (8-up), The Phantom Tollbooth (8-up), The Enormous Egg (8-up), and The Cricket in Time’s Square (8-up)!
For younger fellas check out Bill Peet (such as “How Doofus the Dragon Lost His Head” and Kermit the Hermit), The Billy and Blaze series, Encyclopedia Brown, Nate the Great and the Magic School Bus.
